Comments
Comments: 90% of the road walk was in great shape. Cold enough that it was firm if you stayed on the track. Sections where snow mobiles traveled was mashed potatoes and slightly more challenging. Barebooted all the way to the hut. It was packed with people enjoying breakfast, so we filled up with water and headed up Twinway. Wore snowshoes this whole section. The trail was in solid condition until past Zeacliff where post hole city begun. There were many people coming from the hut with only microspikes on so no telling what the trail looked like by the end of the day.
After Zealand summit we headed back and ended up sliding on our butts for most of Twinway back to the hut. Smoothing out the divots. Hut was empty upon our return so we chatted with the caretaker and off we went in microspikes.
8 hours and 19 miles for this peak today. The list made me do it!
