Comments
Comments: Trail conditions were fast. The first 5 miles were well packed and doable in micro spikes. The last 1.5 mile to the top, had a covering of loose snow. 1-2 inches, with a few windswept spots that were deeper. The spur to the summit was a bit of a challenge with the loose snow. Had to dig in the heel spikes to maintain footing. The summit had a lot rime ice. Mostly cloudy skies with the incoming front, but still had good views across the range. The descent from the summit, required side stepping and cutting steps into the loose snow to avoid sliding and slipping. We made a quick descent with some trail running. 5hrs 35 mins round trip for the 12.6 mile trek. #44/winter48 ??????????
