Comments
Comments: Three of us hiked the zealand bonds traverse today. We did this hike northbound so that we could spend the sunny morning on bondcliff, and to make the car spotting less painful. The entire lincoln woods trail is a very well packed side walk. Snow shoes went on a few miles up the bondcliff trail and stayed on most of the day. The bondcliff trail up to bondcliff seems to have been broken out by bare boots so its in rough shape. Theres plenty of postholes. Otherwise this entire hike is in good shape. Snow drifting was not as bad as expected despite the report from zealand last sunday. We didn't have to do any real trailbreaking. Some of the trails were pretty soft today, so snowshoes were essential. The hike down from zeacliff was pretty well packed, so I took my snowshoes off after reaching the zealand hut. It was basically a bluebird day today with little wind so we had amazing views all day. We managed to finish the 23 mile hike in less than 12 hours!
