 | Comments: |
The North Twin trail is in good shape up to the steep section after the river crossing. Spikes were ok here. Snowshoes were needed heading up the endless steep section. Snow is very soft and it would be easy to posthole without snowshoes; there are many postholes on the edge of the trail. Lots of drifting near the summit and heading over to South Twin. Our group kept the snowshoes on from South Twin all the way back to the car. A 13.8 mile hike with the road walk. |
