Comments
Comments: We had a fairly easy ascent up the "stair master" in the snow. We left the snowshoes in the car [not recommended], as we had read reports that the trail was well-packed. For the most part, that was true, though given the recent high winds, there were short stretches where the snow had drifted, and snowshoes may have been helpful. No postholes, just some spots here and there where the snow was chewed up. We also took the Sosman Trail over to the top of the ski lifts, and that trail was only partially broken out, and had some much deeper drifts. It was a pleasant side trek with some nice views and a nice bench for lunch along the way. We were able to jog and butt slide down some parts of the trail.
