Comments
Comments: Up and down via Garfield trail. On the way up took the herd path/bushwhack to Garfield Pond then Garfield Ridge trail south to the summit. Minimal ice with more than enough dry rock showing not to need traction all afternoon. Nice views at the summit, Lafayette and Pressies in the clouds all else clear.

Shot down to the new shelter to check it out, very nice work. I'd seen them before, but it was fun and interesting to find the old communication poles and wires along the Garfield trail. I counted 5 poles, 4 of which were standing just off the trail.
