Comments: Hale Brook to Lincoln Wood

All trails were in decent shape. Most had an inch or two of fresh powder but a nice solid base underneath. Barebooted from Zealand road til part of the way up Hale Brook. Spikes from Hale Brook to Zeacliff. Trails around Zealand Hut are immaculate thanks to the group of kids that were trampling them down the past few days. Starting at Zeacliff the trails petered out from lack of use and fresh snow. Snowshoes went on and our group broke trail to the summit of Guyot. Hardpacked alpine crust in the exposed areas and more trail breaking to the intersection of West Bond Spur. Thanks to the hiker that did an out and back from Lincoln Woods. Whomever, broke out that side and saved us a lot of effort. Came out in the dark and never was I so happy to see the smooth highway of Lincoln Woods. Some trails could use a few more passes with the snowshoes but overall this whole traverse is decently passable now.
