Beautiful packed trough, spikes all the way up to the tent site turn-off. Then it got drifty. Switched to shoes. Fortunately, the stable base underneath provided some traction all the way to the hut, although snow was deep in spots. From hut to summit, it was packed down and scoured clean from the wind, so spikes or shoes would work. I kept on the shoes. Made the decision to skip Adams, so only one breathtaking president today. |
