Comments
Comments: We got a late start this morning, didn't get on the trail until about 10:15. Parking lot was just about full at Ferncroft. We started on Blueberry Ledge and had a nice snow shoe track for the first couple miles, then passed a couple on their way down in spikes leaving postholes and churned up snow behind them. Then passed a couple more spikers and from there on out the trail was a disaster. Deep postholes and uneven ankle-breaking trail all the way over Whiteface and to the junction with Dicey's Mill. Dicey's Mill was in much better shape, saw a couple in snowshoes that had helped smooth it out. Would recommend snow shoes the whole way for the foreseeable future, very unconsolidated.
