First one to the trailhead today, barebooted the road and put on snowshoes once we reach trail which stayed on the whole day. Down low there was a dusting of fresh snow that turned into a consistent 4-6 inches up higher with 12-18 inch drifts popping up. Carriage road is a whole other story, looks like it has seen little to no traffic and was very unconsolidated, two of us did our best to smooth it out but it needs some serious snowshoe love. Upon meeting back up with Gorge Brook we saw that barebooters had come along and done some damage down low. About 13 cars upon arrival back at the parking area. |
