Comments: Writing this to warn anyone that goes up Valley Way about the post-holed mess that it is in. We had opted not to take Airline up because it had seen no traffic. Myself and my friend wore snowshoes door to door, however, we only encountered 2 others out of the maybe 6 people we saw with snowshoes. The trail is an absolute mess. It was a struggle to try to smooth over the post-holes and our efforts will be null since we passed the groups still going up while we had already gone to Adams and were heading back down. There have been 3 snowstorms within the past week people please please wear your snowshoes!!

Besides that mess, we had an enjoyable day. We were prepared to turn around once at the hut with the wild higher summits forecast. With the help of a later start, it ended up being clear enough for a safe ascent to Adams. Snow pack was more crusty above treeline which was a relief after battling our way up the Valley Way.
