| Comments: |
Trail had not been broken out since last storm, lots of loose powder. Luckily 2 in front of me in snowshoes and 3 behind me in snowshoes helped to form a nice Trail but the snow is still very loose and unconsolidated and will need a freeze thaw cycle to harden up, please continueto wear snowshoes till this happens..don't be the postholer who ruins the trail for everyone else. Beware butt sledders there were still some branches and rock hiding right under the loose powder waiting to poke or stab you as well as blowdowns at eye level that could definitely ring someone's bell if they came sliding into it. This is why I never recommend butt sliding intentionally, it ruins the trail for others who have to follow in your path and is just plain dangerous |
