Comments
Comments: We saw a set of snowshoe tracks on the road and had some hope but at the split in the road they headed off to the right. At the trailhead there was just one set of postholes heading into the woods. Tom wasn't feeling great yesterday morning and we almost turned back. Two other people showed up without snowshoes and with them in front of us I was able to create a decent track for him in my shoes. I don't know how you show up the day after a storm with no snowshoes, but at the end of the day we probably wouldn't have gone if they weren't in front of us, so I'm grateful for that.

Loose powder all the way up into the alpine zone and then it gets more consolidated with a breakable crust. Megadrift is starting to form and per usual the summit is mostly windblown.

I wasn't going to write a report because I thought it would basically be useless (it started to snow just as we got back into the trees) but woke up this morning to just an inch of junk on the deck in Lincoln so this information might still be useful. Tom and I were the last two people off the mountain so there should be a nice base for a snowshoe track.
