| Comments: |
Excellent day for Mt Hale. Zealand Road has a nice trough established with drifts in open areas. Hale Brook trail appeared to not be traveled on since before sun/mon storm. There was approx +- 9-10"of unbroken fluffy powder. Snow depth was varying from beginning to summit. Average sidehilling in normal spot. Was feeling it today and went high on the way down. Went for a short bit down FW trail which was unbroken and looked to be deeper snow depth. Micros stayed in the trunk today as would be of absolutely no help with current conditions. It was nice crossing paths and briefly chatting with the only other hiker I met today. |
