If you take the bushwack -- follow the trail you avoid all the water crossings of note but the last one. And it is almost bridged over. |

lots of blowdowns. Some of the bushwack sections are narrow and you need to be careful. |

Rocky Branch to the bushwack
Snowshoes are preferred as the trail, as of the 22nd in excellent condition, very little post holing. Do bring spikes as there are several steep sections that snow shoes may be challenged, esp on the descent [??? mountain snowshoes will outperform spikes].
Do take the bushwack, far less dangerous than the main trail. |
