Comments
Comments: Trail to Pierce was in very nice condition, all packed powder. To Pierce summit windswept crust.
Trail to Eisenhower was packed powder in the stands of trees, windswept crust in exposed areas. Above treeline on the Eisenhower spur had some ice, some shallow drifting, some crust. Today was quite windy out of the trees however the snowpack/ ice is so shallow the cairns were easy to follow. Microspikes were adequate for the whole hike. Our biggest issue was the wind blown sleet freezing in the outside surface of the googles. In the tree sections out of the wind this was not an issue.
