Comments
Comments: Went up Lion’s Head route - the staff at Pinkham said that they are recommending the summer route. It was well packed and there were a few groups of people. For the descent, we went over to Boott Spur - for much of the above tree line hiking we saw only one, faint trail. The crust was either firm or slightly breakable. When we broke through, it was not deep. From the top of Boott Spur down, we lost the trail once, but were able to work our way back. Once we hit the tree line, the trail has more tracks. Overall, we just used micro spikes and were fine. We did have ice ax and/or ski poles for stability in the wind.
