Valley Way in great shape for microspikes, as was most of the remainder of the hike. A few places on Gulfside and Airline going up Adams had drifts where snowshoes may have helped but didn't want to take the time to put them on. Easy enough to rock hop and avoid most of the deep drifts. Both peaks were in the clouds and the wind was blowing pretty strongly out of the NE, though temps were quite moderate. Airline trail to Adams summit was challenging to find and stay on the trail but it all worked out. |
