Snow on the ground, a dusting lower down, consistent but thin cover higher up. A few small patches of ice. Nothing required traction. We carried our microspikes, but never needed them. It had warmed by the time we hiked out. Much of the ground at lower elevations had thawed, and there were several muddy sections, and lots of wet slippery leaves. |
