Greenly Ponds Trail, Osceola Trail
Broke through the tenth of an inch of snow and inch deep drifts on the ridge. Bareboots to Osceola Trail, spikes all the way to the main summit and back to the shoulder of East. Used crampons desending down the steeps of East which was worth it!
Saw 12 other folks out. Only 3 looked well prepared for a winter hike. Best be prepared as it can be a challenging area for SAR.
To future buttsliders coming off of East, I placed a curse on the trail for future sliders. You will receive a short-lived brused tailbone and an eternal frozen sphincter. |
