| Comments: |
Spikes the whole way on Nineteen Mile Brook. Mostly covered with hard packed snow although some patches with bare rock and mud. Switched to snow shoes for the entire length of Carter Dome Trail to summit. Snow unstable in parts and not well packed. Found it much faster and easier with snow shoes. Several post holes. Mt Hight trail seemed broken out. Some views approaching summit in between the trees. Windy on top. Met several brave souls who would continue past summit and descent the very steep Carter Moriah trail to the hut. We chose an out and back. |
