Comments
Comments: It was a gorgeous, sunny and cold day on the Twinway! We had planned for a ZBonds traverse, but I had a few issues that added up to having to turn around at Zealand. I felt lucky our trio was able to hike that! The trail was beautiful. We wore spikes, but I wish we had worn snowshoes between the hut and Zealand summit. No post holes, but we would have left the track even nicer. And those televators would have come in handy, too :)
Met some nice hikers along the way, as well as Cooper the hut caretaker.
Even though we couldn't do what we had set out to, we still had a wonderful day in the mountains. Any day hiking is better than not hiking. In the meantime, we did 18 miles with the road walk. Not so shabby!
