Gale River Trail

Gale River was nice. I thought the trail was in really in great shape. I parked at the Beaver Brook Picnic Area this was a first for me joined the xc trail to meet up with the road to Galeriver TH. Not the worst road walk in winter. I had my MICROspikes on from the parking lot to Gale River Junction sign. I switched over to Snowshoes from the Junction sign and the snowshoes remained on for Galehead Summit the hike up to South and the walk over to North Twin. The wind was really howling on the summits of South Twin. It was a North Wind today winds were in the high 20's low 30s The hike between South and North was fine. I had awesome triction the whole route. On Galehead I bumped into some friends saw Captain Chris. I saw a lot of awesome people on trail today. Give me a great boost seeing this awesome friends enjoying the trail. Sun the whole day. The colder temps really made for great traction. The trail up to South Twin is nice broken out. stopped and chatted with some nice folks on all three summits and one happy dog.
