| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Several blowdowns / leaners - mostly walk unders right now (one a crawl under for taller folks), and a couple step overs; none are a problem right now until we get more snow. A small saw could be used to trim off some eye pokers here and there on the blowdowns - unfortunately we did not bring ours today. FYI for the sliders - there is a smaller size blowdown that goes right across the trail heading down So Hancock, mid to lower section - be careful if sledding...although small, it would not be fun to run into! |

A great day on the Hancock loop! Weather was good, and views spectacular. Trail in generally good condition despite this whacky winter! Thanks to Kyle L and crew for packing it out yesterday after the last storm. Overall good snow cover - a few very short open sections down low with water running / full coverage up high. There were a few sections of ice starting to show through when coming down the steep part off South where the snow has got brushed off from sliders. Trail is packed, snow was grippy and spikes were a good choice for the day. Snowshoes could be worn on the steeps if you like your televators. |
