Comments
Comments: The eternal November continues…snowshoes the whole day, with the exception of water crossing on Iso express.

The trail is well broken out by ~6-10 snowshoers today, but still very soft throughout. Recommend snowshoes.

Rocky branch was fine, though still open streams and seeps in portions. I was the first on EH, did my best to follow the old path but there’s enough new snow that it was pretty tough to see. Meanders a little, but gets you where you need to go. Isolation trail was a NIGHTMARE. Mostly running water under a crust of unstable snow, don’t trust a single step. The river crossing was ok - just don’t trust the ice, I broke through it. Luckily water isn’t very deep or strong right now. Davis path was relatively easy comparatively, though breaking trail through crusted over snow is a rugged exercise. I chose to take my chances and bomb down Iso Express on the way back rather than deal with going back through Isolation trail - excellent choice. Again, tried to follow the old trough, but it was mostly obscured…again, gets the job done but there’s a couple spots where I wandered in circles, so beware. Coming back through EH and Rocky branch was a breeze.
