Hiking Trail Conditions Report
Peaks
Peaks None, NH
Trails
Trails: Greeley Ponds Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Saturday, January 14, 2023
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: As expected, Kanc parking lot not plowed. Pulloff area just up the road has space for 6-8 cars if parked right, as well as another similar pulloff on opposite side of the road a bit further up
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Partially bridged at actual trail crossing, easily rock hoppable. Frozen fully across just a bit downstream, I wouldn't trust it to be able to support a human's weight just yet, but Hale (50lbs, across 4 points of contact) had no problem scampering across without breaking through
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Cleared the big blowdown right near the trailhead, and a few other minor branches here and there
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Hale had a blast romping in the woods today!

Comments
Comments: Just a short stroll this afternoon to clear the blowdown mentioned in a number of previous reports- turned around about 1/8 mile past the river crossing as daylight was fading, and no other major blowdowns per other hikers I spoke to on trail
