Comments
Comments: It was an amazing undercast day today. I used microspikes all day. Ammonoosuc ravine was in great shape for them. Crampons could have been used on the icy upper section of Ammonoosuc ravine and on monroe. There was a dangerous slanted sheet of ice on gulfside near the edge of the great gulf that I was not comfortable with. I backtracked, and followed the railroad tracks for a short time to get around it. Jewell is very postholed, but was fine to descend. Snowshoes are useless for now.
