| Comments: |
Started in microspikes for the varied terrain at lower elevations and switched to Hillsounds shortly past Mt. Surprise. As others have said, heavily postholed trail the last mile or two. It definitely slows travel but not excessively so. Carried snowshoes but they were not necessary or appropriate given the prior postholing. Stuck with the hillsounds until the last mile or two, then barebooted. Beautiful day out there. |
