| Comments: |
Absolutely recommend microspikes on the slick packed snow and exposed ice. There are some sections at low elevations where rocks and mud are exposed, and I removed my traction to try to minimize wear and tear, but paid for it by slipping and falling three times in maybe ten minutes. Nobody in our large-ish group ever even considered putting on their snowshoes. Canada jays (gray jays) met us at the A-Z Trail/Mt. Tom Spur junction and there were plenty at the summit happy to share our peanuts. |
