| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked at snowmobile parking lot. Discovered snowmobile trail directly across from the parking lot entrance. It brings you to Zealand Road. Better to use it than walking on the edge of Rt. 302. On the way back saw two out of state cars parked in front of the gate effectively blocking the road for any emergency access. |

| Comments: |
Barebooted the road to the trail head with light to moderate wet snow falling, 1-2”. Put on snowshoes to use the televators for the climb and less pack weight. Decided to leave them on to pack down the trail. Post holes have disappeared. Trail was rough in sections for snowshoes. Significant temperature drop approaching 4000 foot mark and on the summit. Left snowshoes on for the return road walk finding them much easier with no slippage or snow balling up underneath. |
