Reached 2000 feet on Lion's Head feet before turning back. At that point, terrain gets steep and granular snow made traction with microspikes a challenge. 2000 feet was our goal so we turned back. Others went almost to Lion's Head. Winds picked up and crampons and ice ax were used. But they too turned back. Overall the day was wonderful. |
