Comments
Comments: Early ascent of ski trails took 1 hour 45 minutes for this 64 y.o. who hiked the previous day so most should be able to easily beat that time. Extensive postholing on ridge trail now frozen into cement like snow. 3 icy sections descending off of D but in general there is not much ice. Wore snowshoes until starting descent to Carter Notch, switched to Hillshounds for rest of hike. Lots of bare spots with rocks, mud and running water on 19 mile brook trail so wish I had brought an old pair of dull micros for that trail.
