Large number of water crossings in first 1.5 miles, all are easily rock hopped |

Around half dozen blowdowns that are either easy stopovers or walk arounds |

| Comments: |
The numerous water crossings and bare spots in first 1.5 miles make snowshoes more of a hindrance than helpful. After that snow in treadway has set up like cement, either light traction or snowshoes work well. Surprisingly little ice. No views today. |
