Comments
Comments: Hillsound spikes sufficed from start to finish, even with the mild temps. Some deep postholes up high on Crawford Path near Pierce and also the first section from Pierce to Eisenhower, but easily avoidable. Some hard ice above treeline, but Hillsounds were fine. Lots of bare rock on the ledges makes it a little challenging, on and off ice/bare rock.

A cloudy day with limited views, but a great day on Eisenhower & Pierce with footing surprisingly firm throughout. Only light wind above treeline and no rain. Met 1 group of 2 who hiked Jackson-Pierce-Eisenhower and only 2 other hikers on Crawford Path who were looping Pierce and Jackson - that's it. Quiet trails! Felt and looked like April... but felt lucky to be out there on a day when the forecast was not that promising.
