Comments
Comments: Wore snowshoes from start of Stony Brook Trail until halfway down 19 Mile Brook Trail. Jogged rest of 19 Mile Brook Trail in dull spikes and then walked about 5 miles down Route 16 back to my car. Ice ax came into play during ascent of steep North Carter summit from SoBo approach. Entire Carter Ridge was hardpack, and I coasted over it. Low cloud ceiling made for a beautiful misty mountain hop. Not a sign of life until a bird chirped at Zeta Pass. I saw 2 people total, at the start of the Carter Dome descent.
