 | Comments: |
Well marked trails up to Mount Rowe and over to Gunstock. Bare booted all the way, some postholing on the back side of Gunstock as you approach the summit. lunch and views at top of Gunstock. Put microspikes on shortly after entering the woods toward Belknap. Icy and they were needed. Hit the fire tower as the sun was going down. Back to Brook Trail for descent. Lost the trail at the first time it crosses ski trail. Came down ski trail for a short while and with the help of ski patrol we found trail again. Not a lot of travel on lower Brook, postholes and soft snow to navigate. |
