Spikes were perfect for today. Snowshoes went for ride. A half inch of new overnight snow covered the woods and lower trail. Lots of mud and intermittent ice until the transition to the "dark woods" Past that to the summit, the trial was hard packed snow and ice. It felt like an early November day in the Whites. |
