Comments
Comments: It turned out to be a great day for hiking. The forecast was iffy so the trails were empty. We saw only 3 hikers out there (young guys doing a LW to Garfield traverse). We barebooted from car to about 1/2 mile up LST. The Basin BW is now a well defined herd path. We switched to Hillsounds and they stayed on the rest of the day. Snowshoes went along for the ride. Franconia Ridge between Liberty & Flume is a choppy but hard(ish). The ladders were a bit challenging and I was glad not to be in snowshoes for our descent.
