I can't believe I'm about to say this, but you don't need any traction or snowshoes to complete all of the trails within the Pondicherry Wildlife Refuge...on December 31. Beautiful area and although there is some ice along Colonel Whipple Trail, it is avoidable and it would be pointless to put on spikes for such a small section of ice. |
