Comments
Comments: We went up Dicey to Passaconaway then out/back on Rollins to Whiteface. We started with bareboots but switched to spikes shortly after entering the woods. While many/most people were using spikes we put snowshoes on shortly after the river crossing and kept them on until we got back to the same spot. The trail had been well packed from previous days but with today's warm weather it softened up throughout the day. Rollins, in particular, absolutely required snowshoes. There were many very deep post holes on Rollins that made the trail very uneven. There is very little ice on these two trails. Only 4 or 5 minor ice flows on Rollins where you had be careful.
