Going up to JAckson, the trail held used micro spikes the entire route. Trail was not wide enough for much of the trip for snow shoes. Not that many post holes early in morning. Warm and surprisingly calm at top of Jackson. Descending to Webster from Jackson, steep slippery sections but safe. Snow shoes would not hav ebeen helpful. From Webster summit down, conditions deteriorated. Tons of post holes and temps were rising. SUn broke through adn it was a glorious day with Washington in full view all day. |
