Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Lost my teal Blue Montbell Windshirt on the Imp Trail just downhill from the North Carter Trail junction. Would love to see it returned! p h wilmot (no spaces or caps) at gmail dot com or message on Facebook -- still pending, but I posted it on the lost and found in the whitemountains page

Comments
Comments: Trails were a bit of a mess except for Carter Moriah on the ridge and North Carter which were mostly very solid and mostly smooth. Nineteen Mile Brook and Carter Dome trails were also solid but rutted and undercut from rain runoff. With the warm weather everyone's spikes or snowshoes were balling up though. Step step whack to keep them mostly clear. I tried my snowshoes on Carter Moriah and had to switch back to spikes because they were caking up with so much snow (my older MSR Evos which are probably the worst for that, lightnings or Flex Alps would probably be better). Imp trail was a chopped up postholed mess and by the time I got there it was cold enough to wear snowshoes so I did. Not fun either way. Camp Dodge cut off was better for some reason, but beware of the beginning of the road by the tree there (not by the road but by the trail)-- super icey and I did a banana peal fall on my old snowshoes. So back to spikes for the short walk down to the road.
