Comments: First time doing this trail and although the goal wasn't the summit, just the junction with Crawford-Ridgepole, it was a great day to be in the woods. I didn't wear traction at all but brought spikes just in case. Quite honestly, with the amount of bare ground spikes would probably be overkill.
