Comments
Comments: Sturdy crust all the way, spikes were great and no need for snowshoes. In many places the track isn’t really wide enough for snowshoes anyway right now. They would be more of a hindrance than a help, even after today’s inch or two of fresh snowfall [but there is warmer weather coming, which will warrant snowshoes].

It looks like there hasn’t been much traffic on Carter Moriah trail beyond the summit of Moriah but I walked 100ft or so down the trail from the Moriah summit spur junction toward North Carter and it seemed solid, no post-holing.
