 | Comments: |
The lower half of the trail was riddled with nasty frozen postholes from some fool and a fresh coating of snow has buried a few making for hidden ankle twisters. Some ice and rocks exposed over the first mile but easy to navigate. After the split to Winter Lion Head and Harvard Cabin the trail is much better for hiking and skinning with no more postholes. Some debris on trail from last storm but it looks like any bigger blowdowns had been dragged out of the way.
Some early morning views looking up into the Ravine from Hermit Lake were nice but they quickly were swallowed up by snow flurries. |
