Comments
Comments: Trails were a mixed bag of conditions. Lots of frozen water flows on the lower to mid parts of Blueberry Ledge Trail. Recommend sharp spikes for this area. Right about at the intersection of Tom Wiggin is where the real snow takes over. All trails are broken out but need a lot of snow shoe work. Due to the recent cold, the trails are super crusty with lots of frozen boot prints and shallow post holes. Ledges up to Whiteface were really icy, again sharp spikes here, but wasn’t anything too scary (this is subjective). First half of Rollins trail was pretty beat up but smoothed out closer to the Passaconaway side. Dicey’s Mill was in pretty good shape. Down on lower elevations there were sections of open trail, mud, leaves. You hike how you want, but I would advise bringing the snowshoes and helping pay it forward.
