Comments
Comments: So much thanks to all everyone who submitted the spot on trail reports, oh so helpful. I had very little time, and this looked to be just right for today. I decided to wear snowshoes even though the snowmobile trail was clearly pretty open & icy with dusting of snow, and that was the prefect choice. Once on the BW, several open areas still had 6" of powder; they were few and far between but made easier.

Hiked about 1/2 mile up the snowmobile trail, approximately to the HOL. At this point there was a small clearing and a slight trail to the right, and the start of a stone wall running parallel to the trail. I followed the trail until it came to an end, then point myself west/NW where I followed a minor ridge to an old skidder road that took me SW of the summit. From there I ascended NW up to the relatively open flat summit. Found the well marked orange tape covered jar hanging on the spruce. Could not seal the zipper baggie, maybe the next person planning to summit can bring a small Ziplock (had only larger plastic bags with me today). Whole excursion took just about an hour, which was great since I had a time constraint.
