Few spots where run off had created little stream across the path. Water was not deep but snow was deep so stepping across can be tricky. |

Some new trees down across the trail. Moat can just duck under. 1 has to be either gone over or crawled under. By time I went out branches were removed so I could go over. |

Crawford Path up to Mt Pierce was well broken in. Few spots of drifts making the path narrow and uneven. Every once and a while I would break through the top layer while wearing microspikes. Did not see anyone on way up. Crawford Path once past Mt Pierce was packed down but not broken
Snow drifts high enough to walk on top of some trees. Snowshoes would help for this but not absolutely must have. Due to snow and drifts trail was completely hidden in some spots so navigation of some kind is needed. I made it up to the summit with just microspikes but due to the amount of ice and light snow on top from flurries during the day I switched over to crampons. Saw few birds on way out. Foot prints were gone in some spots by the time I was on way out. No problems once back on Mt Pierce for the decent. |
