Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Beaver Brook XC Trail 5 or 6 blowdowns 1 large one across trail a stepover a few yards from parking lot at Beaver Brook Picnic Area Rte 3. At about .15 mi in 2 sets of blow downs across trail with woods work around to left and a stepover. We got a stepunder and some smaller ones you can noggle over between the branches. Road no blowdowns. GRT a few blowdowns one about 100 yards in then some steps overs, noggle throughs and walk arounds. Seemed to be less on GRT but I only went in about 1.25 miles.
Dog-Related Notes

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Kiosk alcohol stove/can and strange blue hat with yellow plastic inside the brim.

Comments
Comments: Mainly want to provide a few details of conditions down low. I only walked about 2.5 miles in total mostly due to a late start. Also, I was fussing about with pesky limbs and branches along the way which I decided to make the goal to remove those rather than peakbagging. I did not cut anything down but dragged some off the trail. By the time I got to the area near the relocation where the water from the river was quite close to the water on the trail I decided to head back; the ice was wide not bridged. The take away is the trails are in pretty decent shape, minimal snow and manageable ice and water. I wore old Hillsounds the entire way perfect for all I encountered. I carried snowshoes assuming they would be needed perhaps a mile before Garfield Ridge Trail but could not prove that theory. I saw 4 other people heading in on Gale River Trail just after I turned around.
