Supportive snow the whole way, bare booted the bottom couple miles then spikes were sufficient. Poked through a couple times but snowshoes would have been bad. Much of the trail was a narrow V groove from meltwater running and refreezing. Fortunately the wind was minimal so the low wind chills forecast never materialized. Just a bit breezy on the summit cap. Beautiful way to spend part of xmas day. |
